GUANGZHOU, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) — The 2025 Understanding China Conference, themed "New Planning, New Development, New Choices – Chinese-Style Modernization and New Architectural Framework for Global Governance," is being held in Guangzhou, capital of south China's Guangdong Province.
Li Shulei, member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended the opening ceremony of the conference on Monday and delivered a keynote speech.
In addition, Huang Kunming, member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech.
Participants noted that over the years, the conference has become one of the most influential platforms for helping the world understand China.
According to them, China is currently successfully promoting and expanding Chinese-style modernization based on long-term research and practical experience, as well as innovative theoretical and practical breakthroughs since the 18th CPC National Congress.
As the participants emphasized, the 4th Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee outlined a plan for the development of Chinese-style modernization over the next five years, which is of great importance for taking advantage of the opportunities for development together with all countries of the world and moving together with them along the path of modernization.
Those present noted that Chinese-style modernization benefits both China and the world as a whole.
The current conference, which runs until December 2, has attracted more than 800 participants, including politicians, strategic planners, entrepreneurs, and academics. –0–
