BEIJING, December 1 (Xinhua) — The Tianshan Forum on Central Asian Economic Cooperation will be held from December 2 to 3 in Urumqi, capital of Northwest China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR), the Xinjiang Daily newspaper reported on Monday.

The forum, entitled “Promoting Connectivity and Unlocking Investment Potential,” will focus on regional trade, transport, energy and digital connectivity in Central Asia and aims to create a platform for multilateral dialogue to promote regional cooperation and unlock sustainable investment opportunities.

The forum will be organized by the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Institute (CAREC Institute). It will be attended by approximately 300 people, including government officials from the relevant countries, representatives of international organizations, financial institutions, and the private sector, as well as experts and scholars from think tanks and academic institutions.
