Moscow, November 30 (Xinhua) — The first Moscow International Video Game Week was held in Moscow from November 27 to 30. It featured business sessions, a gaming exhibition, educational and city programs, tournaments, interactive events, and one of the largest gatherings of the gaming community.

The event, organized by the Agency for Creative Industries (AKI) of Moscow with the support of the capital's Department of Culture, became a key event, bringing together leading video game and IT companies, industry specialists, and video game enthusiasts from Russia, China, and other countries.

Konstantin Buchnev, Deputy Director General for Creative Industries Development at AKI, spoke about plans to expand the event to a national and global level. He explained that it is a meeting point for various expertise: video game developers, investors, and international publishers, which creates a synergistic effect for the development of the video game and animation cluster.

Lipsar Studio CEO Gleb Durnovo noted that this is the first time such an event has been held. “This is a great opportunity to directly engage with users and business partners. We recently signed an agreement with a Chinese company that will officially publish one of our projects in China. This is a new but very interesting market for us. That's why I believe this collaboration is beneficial for both parties,” said Durnovo.
