WENCHANG, HAINAN PROVINCE, November 30 (Xinhua) — China on Sunday launched a new satellite into space from the Wenchang Satellite Launch Center in the southern island province of Hainan.

The Shijian-28 satellite was launched at 8:20 PM Beijing Time aboard a modified Long March-7 launch vehicle. The spacecraft successfully entered its designated orbit.

The current launch was the 611th flight mission for the Long March series launch vehicles. –0–
