Almaty, November 28 /Xinhua/ — The China-Central Asia International Forum on Engineering and Technical Standards of Transport Infrastructure was held in Almaty on Friday.

Acting Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Almaty, Lu Yi, noted in his welcoming speech that the global economic structure is currently undergoing rapid restructuring, which underscores the growing importance and strategic significance of regional cooperation.

"China is willing to work with Central Asian countries on the principles of consultation, shared contribution and shared benefits, and deepen practical cooperation to ensure the promotion of regional economic integration and common development," said Lyu Yi.

The forum brought together representatives of government agencies, universities, think tanks, and industry organizations from China and several Central Asian countries. It provided an in-depth exchange of views on standards coordination, technological integration, and human resource development.
