Dear Marines of the Pacific Fleet! Dear veterans!

320 years ago, by decree of Peter the Great, a "regiment of naval soldiers" was created, marking the beginning of the history of one of the most combat-ready branches of the Russian army.

This is an important holiday for the Far East. The lives of many Far Easterners are inextricably linked with the navy. Pacific Fleet sailors earned lasting military glory, heroically displaying their skills in the defense of the Petropavlovsk port in the Crimean War, the defense of Port Arthur during the war with Japan, the liberation of Manchuria and Korea, the Kuril landing operation, and the most important battles of the Great Patriotic War.

Today, the Pacific Fleet's marines honorably continue the work of their predecessors, protecting the country's eastern borders and defending Russia's interests in a special military operation. Servicemen from the 40th Separate Krasnodar-Harbin, Twice Red Banner, and 155th Separate Guards Kursk, Orders of Zhukov and Suvorov, Marine Brigades of the Pacific Fleet are crushing Ukrainian Armed Forces groups, effectively destroying enemy personnel and equipment, bringing us closer to our shared Victory.

They fight with courage and bravery, unquestioningly carrying out combat missions, discouraging the enemy, and inspiring their comrades by their personal example. Twenty of them have become Heroes of Russia, including one twice Hero of Russia – the brilliant general and former Deputy Commander of the Russian Navy, Mikhail Evgenievich Gudkov. Where you are, there is Victory!

I sincerely congratulate the marines of the Russian Navy's Pacific Fleet on their anniversary. I wish them good health, prosperity, good luck, new victories, and a speedy return of peace to Russia!
