Beijing, November 27 (Xinhua) — China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) recently held a meeting to study and develop criteria for determining the costs of disorderly price competition, the agency announced on Thursday.

The meeting, organised by the SCRR together with relevant authorities and industry associations, highlighted that disorderly price competition continues to be a serious problem in some areas.

According to the agency's report, some enterprises have not fully complied with the requirements regulating price competition, and actions that violate market pricing continue to occur.

The SCRR is committed to cooperating with relevant authorities to continuously promote relevant efforts, eliminate disorderly price competition among enterprises, and maintain a reasonable market price order in order to promote high-quality development.

On October 14, 2025, Premier Li Qiang chaired a meeting on the economic situation, during which he called for intensified efforts to promote market vitality and combat disorderly and irrational competition.

On October 15 this year, China's revised Anti-Unfair Competition Law came into effect, giving regulators more effective legal tools to combat unfair competition. -0-
