The Presidium (Headquarters) of the Government Commission on Regional Development has made management decisions on 32 more unfinished construction projects included in the federal register of unfinished construction projects. Of these, 14 will be completed. Thus, decisions have now been made on 780 projects, according to Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.

"The joint work of the Government and the Ministry of Construction of Russia to reduce the number of unfinished projects facilitates the commissioning of vital infrastructure. These include, for example, medical and sports facilities, roads, and housing and utilities infrastructure, all of which were built with budgetary funds. Completing such projects directly improves the quality of life for citizens and stimulates regional development. As part of this work, the Government Commission on Regional Development approved decisions on 32 more unfinished projects, 14 of which are planned for completion," said Marat Khusnullin.

Among them are socially significant objects from various regions of the country: an exhibition pavilion in the Arkhangelsk region, treatment buildings of the Kaliningrad Psychiatric Hospital, a central district hospital and maternity hospital in the Republic of Dagestan, water intake wells and water supply networks in the Chechen Republic, a section of highway in the Leningrad region, and a storage facility for a museum in Torzhok, Tver region.

The Deputy Prime Minister clarified that the federal registry currently includes 781 projects from 35 agencies. Overall, management decisions have been made on 780 projects to date, 379 of which will be completed.

The registry includes projects financed by the federal budget. Information about them is provided by government customers and then verified by an interdepartmental commission.

"Following the joint work of the headquarters, the Ministry of Construction, and relevant agencies, 45 projects have already been completed. Inclusion in the register allows the Presidium (Headquarters) of the Government Commission on Regional Development to determine the future of each project: completion, sale, demolition, or transfer to the regional level. If the decision is made to complete construction, a detailed implementation plan is developed for each project," noted Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Utilities Yuri Gordeyev.

Previously, as part of efforts to reduce the number of unfinished construction projects, new approaches and a regulatory framework were developed, and a federal register of unfinished construction projects was created.
