Beijing, November 26 (Xinhua) — China hopes that the countries concerned will recognize the prevailing trend, heed the will of the people, and make the right decisions as soon as possible, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said in Beijing on Wednesday.
Mao Ning made the announcement at a regular ministry press conference. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves is reportedly maintaining contacts with China and exploring opportunities to develop relations with the country.
The one-China principle is a generally accepted international consensus and a basic norm in international relations, she noted.
The fact that 183 countries in the world have established diplomatic relations with China fully demonstrates that the one-China principle represents international justice, the will of the people and the prevailing trend.
