HAIKOU, Nov. 26 (Xinhua) — A direct air route linking Haikou, capital of South China's Hainan Province, with Nha Trang, Vietnam, officially launched on Monday.

Flights on this route will be operated by Hainan Airlines on Boeing 737 aircraft three times a week: on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

The flight will depart Haikou at 10:45 PM Beijing time and arrive in Nha Trang at 11:45 PM local time. The return flight will depart Nha Trang at 1:10 AM local time and arrive in Haikou at 4:10 AM Beijing time.

The new route will not only provide passengers with more opportunities for cross-border travel during the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays, but will also create a new air bridge for economic, trade, tourism, and cultural exchanges between Hainan Province and Southeast Asia.

Haikou Meilan International Airport is making every effort to facilitate the opening and restoration of international air routes to cities such as Seoul and Ho Chi Minh City, and continues to promote trade and economic exchanges and cooperation between Hainan Province and ASEAN countries. -0-
