Moscow's transport sector continues to implement domestic technologies. Specifically, the city is signing offset contracts with investors—agreements that involve reciprocal investment commitments. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry. Maxim Liksutov.

"Offset contracts are drivers of advanced industrial technology development. In accordance with the Moscow Mayor's directive, the city is entering into such agreements across all areas of the city's economy. The total private investment in expanding and modernizing the production of high-tech products for urban transportation and road safety will amount to approximately 2.6 billion rubles," said Maxim Liksutov.

Supporting the creation of new manufacturing facilities in the city is one of the key objectives of the Moscow Industrial Development Strategy approved by Sergei Sobyanin. Since the beginning of the year, the city has signed five offset contracts for investors to supply products for public transport. Three of these enterprises will be located within the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone.

"Within the special economic zone, companies will produce new high-tech ticket vending machines, secure access modules for turnstiles, validators, ticket offices, and modern turnstiles with biometric payment capabilities. Private investment in the creation of these facilities will amount to approximately 1.4 billion rubles," noted the Moscow Government Minister and Head of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.

For the first time, a full-cycle road sign production facility will open in the capital. These products will help improve road safety. As part of the offset production, the Moscow Spetskabel plant will begin producing 315 products for use in the metro.

Earlier, Sergei Sobyanin said that Moscow had already concluded 36 offset contracts For the supply of medicines, medical products, food products for milk distribution centers, landscaping elements, traction batteries for electric vehicles, compact electric utility vehicles, elevator equipment, and other goods. The total purchase volume for these transactions will exceed 730 billion rubles. Over 9,000 new jobs will be created at the enterprises. Investments in production development will exceed 126 billion rubles.

Investors have completed construction and modernization of production facilities under nine offset contracts, and deliveries of products for city needs have already begun.
