Mexico City, November 22 (Xinhua) — At least seven people were killed and many others injured on Saturday when a tourist bus overturned in the western Mexican state of Michoacan, local authorities said.

The state attorney general's office reported on social media that the bus departed from the city of Uruapan and was heading to the municipality of Tlalpujahua. Investigators and forensic experts have been dispatched to the scene.

According to local media, at least 20 passengers were injured. Authorities have reportedly not yet determined the cause of the accident, and an investigation is currently underway.
