Kyiv, November 22 (Xinhua) — High-ranking representatives of Ukraine and the United States will hold consultations in Switzerland in the coming days on the possible parameters of a future peace agreement with Russia. Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Rustem Umerov announced this on Telegram on Saturday.
According to him, official Kyiv is approaching the negotiation process with a clear understanding of its interests. The upcoming consultations will be the next stage of the dialogue, which has been ongoing in recent days and is primarily aimed at agreeing on further steps.
Furthermore, on Saturday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree establishing the delegation for negotiations with the United States and other international partners of Ukraine, as well as with representatives of the Russian Federation. It will be led by Andriy Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
On Thursday, the United States officially handed over to V. Zelensky a draft of a new peace plan for Ukraine, designed to intensify diplomatic efforts.
