Tashkent, November 21 /Xinhua/ — At the invitation of Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who is also a member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee, visited Uzbekistan from November 20 to 21 and took part in the second strategic dialogue between the foreign ministers of China and Uzbekistan.

The parties noted that the China-Uzbekistan all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership in the new era is continuously strengthening based on mutual respect and consideration of each other's interests. They pledged to pursue closer cooperation to advance the construction of a China-Uzbekistan community with a shared future.

The parties emphasized that the positive dynamics of mutual visits and exchanges at all levels between the two countries contribute to the further strengthening of cooperation in bilateral and international affairs.

Both sides reiterated their strong mutual support on issues affecting each other's core interests.

As noted, China will continue to support Uzbekistan in independently choosing its path to national development and intends to support the country in decisively advancing important socio-economic reform projects within the framework of the “New Uzbekistan” strategy.

Uzbekistan stated that it firmly adheres to the one-China principle, opposes any form of “Taiwan independence,” and strongly supports all efforts undertaken by the Chinese government to achieve national reunification.

China highly appreciated the important contribution of the 7th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, held in Tashkent on November 15-16, to the further development of regional cooperation, strengthening mutual trust, and maintaining regional stability and prosperity.

The Uzbek side highly praised the successful holding of the 4th Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, expressing confidence that this important meeting will contribute to China's continued high-quality development, provide common development opportunities for all countries, and bring more confidence and positive energy to the world.

The two sides highly appreciated the importance of jointly building the Belt and Road Initiative in strengthening international cooperation and promoting common security, development and prosperity.

The Uzbek side welcomed the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, the Global Civilization Initiative, and the Global Governance Initiative put forward by China, expressing its intention to actively participate in cooperation within the framework of the above-mentioned initiatives.

The parties noted with satisfaction the steady growth in trade turnover between the two countries, the consistent deepening of investment cooperation, and the active promotion of joint projects in areas such as industrial production, transportation and logistics, energy, and agriculture.

The parties expressed their intention to continue strengthening cooperation in the field of environmentally friendly mining, particularly in the green development of the entire production chain of mineral resources.

Both sides pledged to make joint efforts to strengthen cultural and humanitarian cooperation and promote friendly exchanges between the peoples of the two countries.

The parties announced that they will continue to strengthen mutual support and cooperation within multilateral structures such as the UN, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the China-Central Asia mechanism, and the BRICS cooperation mechanism.

The parties welcomed the results of the second strategic dialogue between the foreign ministers of China and Uzbekistan, expressing their belief that this mechanism has become a new platform for deepening strategic coordination and comprehensive cooperation in priority areas between the two countries, which contributes to regional and international peace, further enhancing mutual understanding and strengthening mutual trust.
