SHENYANG, November 20 (Xinhua) — The 8th Liaoning Translation Competition was held recently in Shenyang, capital of Northeast China's Liaoning Province.
According to the Liaoning Daily, the event had three categories of participants: civil servants, students, and international students. Competitions were held in English, Japanese, Korean, and Russian.
The competition was attended by 479 participants from party and government bodies, enterprises and universities from three northeastern provinces of China and the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
The competition has provided strong support for identifying and cultivating translation talents capable of telling stories about China even better, and has injected new energy into international exchanges and cooperation in northeast China.
