Beijing, November 19 (Xinhua) — An educational event titled "Integrating Professional Experience between China and Russia, Realizing Future Dreams" was held Tuesday at the Jixi City Vocational Education Center in Heilongjiang Province, northeast China. More than 100 representatives from Chinese and Russian vocational schools, as well as industry experts from both countries, attended the event.
According to a report on the Zhongxinwang news website, the event was organized by the Jixi City Education Bureau. Participants focused on two majors: computer graphic design and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operation and maintenance.
In the morning, Chinese and Russian students competed in a friendly drone piloting competition. Wearing protective goggles, the participants demonstrated high precision in controlling the aircraft on a specially prepared course. In the computer labs, computer design students worked on projects covering three themes: "Cultural Interaction between China and Russia," "The Future of Vocational Education," and "Green Development."
The event also included a professional experience exchange session. Chinese educators presented their experience in building a practical training system and collaborating with enterprises, while Russian teachers introduced the audience to Russia's professional skills certification system in the UAV field and shared their experience integrating the teaching of traditional culture with design projects.
In addition, on the same day, some secondary vocational schools in China and Russia signed framework agreements on inter-college cooperation, which provide for such areas of cooperation as teacher and student exchanges, joint development of curricula, and resource sharing.
The Jixi City Education Department stated that in the future, efforts will be made to build on the achieved cooperation results to focus on the goal of training qualified specialists with an international perspective, optimize foreign exchange policies, and integrate the resources of various schools and relevant enterprises to provide support for mutual visits between teachers and students, joint programs, and other forms of cooperation between China and Russia. -0-
