BEIJING, November 19 (Xinhua) — In the first ten months of 2025, Guangzhou City in southern China's Guangdong Province's import and export volume with countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative reached 479.61 billion yuan, up 24.1 percent year-on-year, the Zhongguo Xinwenshe news agency reported.
According to Guangzhou Customs data, Guangzhou's foreign trade turnover reached a record high of 1.02 trillion yuan from January to October this year, up 12.1 percent year-on-year. Meanwhile, the city's export volume increased by 20.5 percent year-on-year to 682.36 billion yuan.
During the specified period, Guangzhou's foreign trade turnover with BRICS member and partner countries increased by 22.5 percent year-on-year to 255.96 billion yuan.
A breakdown of foreign trade goods shows that from January to October, the city's export volume of electric vehicles, solar panels, and lithium batteries totaled 19.94 billion yuan, up 52.8 percent year-on-year. High-tech exports, meanwhile, grew 15.3 percent year-on-year to 75.36 billion yuan. -0-
