Moscow, November 18 /Xinhua/ — Member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) on Tuesday pledged to guarantee energy security and stability in the energy market.
In a joint communiqué published following the 24th meeting of the SCO Heads of Government Council, the heads of delegations reaffirmed that the SCO countries are committed to advancing a shared vision of the future aimed at ensuring global energy security, as well as the formation of a fair, balanced, and sustainable model of global energy development.
The parties called for further efforts to ensure energy security and stability in the energy market and to establish a diversified energy balance system using fossil fuels, renewable energy, hydropower and hydrogen energy to ensure sustainable supply and demand in the energy market.
The communiqué also expresses support for the development of equal, sustainable and mutually beneficial international cooperation in the field of peaceful uses of nuclear energy. –0–
