Almaty, November 18 (Xinhua) – Twelve people, including nine children, died in a fire in the Turkestan region of southern Kazakhstan, the Kazinform news agency reported on Tuesday, citing the regional Department of Emergency Situations (DES).
According to the regional Department of Emergency Situations, a fire was reported early in the morning in a two-story private home in the village of Algabas. During the investigation and firefighting efforts, three unconscious people were evacuated from the home and handed over to an ambulance crew. Twelve dead people, including nine children, were found inside.
The fire was completely extinguished over an area of 360 square meters. At the direction of the President of Kazakhstan, a commission was created to investigate the causes of the incident. –0–
