Paris, November 18 (Xinhua) — French President Emmanuel Macron and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a declaration of intent on Monday for Ukraine to acquire up to 100 Rafale fighter jets over the next decade, as well as other defense equipment. The two leaders announced this.
The bilateral meeting took place in Paris. At a joint press conference, Emmanuel Macron stated that France and Ukraine would strengthen bilateral cooperation over the next decade, particularly in the defense sector.
He added that France's support for Ukraine includes not only military assistance, but also cooperation in the civilian and economic spheres.
