Red Wings Airlines has summarized its three-year operations between Russia and Sri Lanka. During this period, it operated over 400 flights to Mattala International Airport and carried over 160,000 passengers.
Red Wings continues to develop this popular tourist destination. In its winter schedule, the airline operates flights to Hambantota, a popular Sri Lankan resort, from seven Russian cities: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Ufa, Novosibirsk, and Samara. Tickets for these flights are already available as part of travel packages through the airline's partners.
This year, the carrier was named Airline of the Year by the prestigious Wings of Russia awards. The airline received the award in two categories: domestic routes with up to 1.5 million passenger traffic and international routes with up to 2 million passenger traffic.
