BEIJING, Nov. 17 (Xinhua) — Young people from China and Europe gathered in Beijing on Monday for the China-Europe Youth Dialogue 2025, where they discussed their roles in promoting closer relations between China and Europe.

The dialogue will include four sub-forums devoted to topics such as youth and the future of China-EU relations, youth and the future of China-EU economic cooperation, youth and the prospects for exchange and mutual learning between Chinese and European civilizations, and youth and the future of China-EU scientific and technological cooperation.

“Young people, with their openness and inclusiveness, are the best helpers in overcoming cognitive barriers,” said Zhao Rui, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CAS), at the opening ceremony of the aforementioned dialogue.

According to him, young people play an irreplaceable role and bear a historical responsibility in promoting the healthy and stable development of China-EU relations.

The dialogue, organised by the Institute for European Studies at the AONK, was attended by 61 participants aged 18 to 30 from 30 European countries, as well as 48 students from the AONK University and more than 10 young scientists from the Institute for European Studies at the AONK. -0-
