Colombo, November 16 (Xinhua) — Sri Lanka's tourism revenue in the first 10 months of this year reached US$2.66 billion, up 4.9 percent from the same period in 2024, according to the latest data from the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL).

According to CBSL data, the country's tourism revenue increased to US$186.1 million in October 2025.

According to the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, the cumulative number of tourists who arrived in the country from January to November 12 this year was 1,972,957.

India remains Sri Lanka's largest tourist market with 443,622 arrivals, followed by the UK with 180,592, Russia with 144,308, Germany with 123,053 and China with 115,400, CBSL reports. –0–
