BEIJING, November 16 (Xinhua) — China Eastern Airlines will launch a direct passenger flight linking Beijing with Oman's capital Muscat on November 30, Beijing Daxing International Airport said.
Flights MU2051/MU2052 on this route operate twice a week – on Wednesdays and Sundays.
A China Eastern Airlines wide-body Airbus A330 departs Beijing Daxing International Airport at 2:00 PM Beijing Time and arrives at Muscat International Airport at 7:55 PM local time. The return flight departs at 9:55 AM local time and lands at Daxing Airport at 10:00 AM Beijing Time the following day.
China and Oman enjoy deep, traditional friendships. In recent years, both sides have seen increased trade and economic cooperation and cultural exchanges.
In May of this year, China introduced a trial visa-free regime for holders of ordinary passports from Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain. From June 9, 2025, to June 8, 2026, they can enter China visa-free for up to 30 days for business trips, tourism, family visits, business exchanges, or transit.
The launch of the aforementioned direct air service will promote further exchanges between the two countries and give a powerful impetus to practical cooperation and the further development of bilateral relations, noted the Daxing Airport administration. -0-
