BEIJING, Nov. 16 (Xinhua) — China's Ministry of Education on Sunday issued a study abroad alert, urging Chinese students currently in Japan and those planning to study there soon to closely monitor the security situation in Japan, more thoroughly assess risks, enhance their awareness of potential threats, and exercise caution when planning to study in Japan.

The ministry said security risks for Chinese citizens in Japan have increased, citing a recent deterioration in public order in Japan, including a noticeable increase in criminal offenses targeting Chinese citizens, and a deteriorating overall learning environment for Chinese citizens in the country. -0-
