YINCHUAN, November 16 (Xinhua) — Fourteen students from the Belarusian State University of Foreign Languages visited Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region (Northwest China) from November 11 to 16, 2025.

Over the course of six days, they traveled to cities such as Guyuan, Zhongwei, and Yinchuan, where they were able to experience Chinese cultural traditions and customs, learn about the method of fixing sand using a wheat straw net, and learn about the history of this Chinese autonomous region.

According to BSUFL student Maria Kostetskaya, it was her first time in China and she really enjoyed the trip. Meanwhile, student Olga Vasilevskaya was amazed by China's achievements in combating desertification after learning about sand stabilization using a wheat straw mesh in the city of Zhongwei.

On October 13, Ningxia Normal University officially signed a cooperation agreement with Belarusian State University of Foreign Languages (BSUL). This trip for Belarusian students is one of the results of the collaboration between the two universities.

Ningxia Normal University Vice President Zhang Shaohua noted that cooperation between the two universities is not only a shining example of implementing important initiatives to strengthen friendly exchanges between Chinese and foreign youth, but also a strategic necessity for cultivating globally minded talent in the new era.
