Islamabad, November 15 (Xinhua) — Five terrorists were killed in an intelligence-driven operation in Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northwestern Pakistan, police said on Saturday.

According to police, the operation was carried out by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in the Takhti Khel district after receiving credible information about the presence of terrorists there.

Police also said weapons and ammunition were seized from the scene, adding that the action taken prevented a possible attack in the region.
