BEIJING, November 14 (Xinhua) — The added value of output of China's leading industrial enterprises, an important economic indicator, grew 4.9 percent year-on-year in October 2025, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Friday.

According to the agency, in the first 10 months of 2025, the added value of products by China's leading industrial enterprises grew by 6.1 percent year-on-year.

Industrial production added value in China is used to measure the production activity of leading industrial enterprises, each of which has an annual income from core business activities of 20 million yuan (about 2.8 million US dollars) or more.

According to the State Statistical Office, last month, the added value created by manufacturing enterprises increased by 4.9 percent year-on-year, while in the mining industry it increased by 4.5 percent. In the electricity, heat, gas, and water production and supply sector, this figure increased by 5.4 percent. -0-
