BEIJING, Nov. 12 (Xinhua) — Zhao Leji, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), met with King Felipe VI of Spain in Beijing on Wednesday.
Zhao Leji noted that in recent years, under the leadership and support of Chinese President Xi Jinping and King Felipe VI, China-Spain relations have maintained a healthy and stable momentum. He emphasized that China stands ready to work with Spain to implement the important consensus reached by the two leaders, strengthen the foundations of political mutual trust, advance practical cooperation, and expand cultural and people-to-people exchanges, so as to maintain the high level of development of bilateral relations, bring greater benefits to the two peoples, and bring greater stability and positive energy to the world.
