City services specialists adjusted the heating system according to the weather, according to the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing, Utilities, and Public Works. Petr Biryukov.

"According to weather forecasters, temperatures in the capital region will continue to drop; today, the daily average is only three degrees Celsius. Therefore, a decision was made to raise the heating system's coolant temperature to 76-79 degrees Celsius for the first time this heating season," noted Pyotr Biryukov.

The operating modes of the district heating system are selected based on the outside air temperature. Changes are scheduled in advance based on a short-term weather forecast. Heat output is regulated by two main parameters: decreasing or increasing the coolant temperature and increasing or decreasing its volume.

The adjustments are carried out automatically under the control of the Moscow United Energy Company's dispatch services, taking into account readings from temperature sensors and dispatching systems, including those located at heating stations.
