Opened in Moscow accepting applications The sixth season of the "Video Game Factory" accelerator will run from November 12th to 28th. Both experienced studios and up-and-coming teams are welcome to participate. Legal entities, sole proprietors, and self-employed individuals involved in video game development can apply on the Moscow Agency for Creative Industries website.
An expert jury will select at least 20 of the best projects. The winners will receive comprehensive support: individual consultations with leading gaming industry experts, access to a specialized online educational program to develop professional and entrepreneurial skills, and assistance in refining their games. The final stage will be a pitching presentation to investors on January 28, 2026. There, teams will have the opportunity to receive funding for the further development of their ideas.
"Over the previous four seasons, accelerator participants developed 80 pilot versions of games in a wide range of genres—from puzzles to space adventures and projects based on Russian fairy tales. The best of them received funding totaling over 150 million rubles. These games are now preparing for release in new markets," noted the Moscow Government Minister and Head of the Moscow Department of Culture.
Furthermore, in past seasons, participants presented games in the RPG, horror, arcade, action, fantasy, visual novel, and other genres. Successful projects include the cyberpunk game Twilight Wars (Comrade Bear Games), the tactical strategy game Song of the Spear (Divovision Games), and the free browser-based strategy game NotChess. Nine games created by accelerator participants have already been published on Russian and international platforms and are available for download. The accelerator's fifth season is currently underway, with the final pitching scheduled for November 28.
The Moscow Agency for Creative Industries regularly holds open playtests for Video Game Factory participants, where anyone can come and test new projects and provide feedback to the developers. Moscow developers also participate in international business missions. This year, they visited seven of the world's largest video game exhibitions—in China, Japan, Indonesia, Belarus, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and India. Another trip is planned for the end of the year—to South Korea (November 13–16).
