Islamabad, November 11 (Xinhua) — At least five people were killed and more than 10 injured on Tuesday afternoon in a blast outside the district courts in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, police sources told Xinhua.
An Islamabad police spokesman said the blast occurred near the court complex, which houses several district courts.
Police and rescue teams immediately rushed to the scene and took the bodies of the dead and injured to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences.
The death toll could rise as several injured people are in critical condition, the spokesman said.
The nature of the explosion has not yet been determined, he added, noting that the bomb disposal team is working to determine the cause of the explosion. –0–
