BEIJING, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) — China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) on Monday announced price increases for gasoline and diesel fuel in response to recent changes in international oil prices.

From 24:00 on November 11, prices for gasoline and diesel fuel will increase by 125 yuan (US$17.64) and 120 yuan per ton, respectively, the department said.

The department demanded that three leading Chinese oil companies, including PetroChina, Sinopec and CNOOC, as well as oil refineries, make efforts to ensure the stability of market supplies and the implementation of this pricing policy throughout the country.

The committee stated that in order to ensure order in the market, relevant departments in various regions should take strict measures to suppress activities that violate national pricing policies, the department said in a statement. -0-
