SEOUL, November 10 (Xinhua) — Two sailors were rescued and nine others remained missing Monday after a Chinese fishing vessel capsized off Eocheon Island, about 180 kilometers south of the South Korean capital, Seoul, the Renhap News Agency reported Monday.

At around 8:53 a.m. local time, reports came in that the 99-ton vessel had capsized in waters approximately 150 kilometers southwest of the island.

Of the 11 crew members on board, two were rescued by a cargo ship sailing in nearby waters. The remaining nine remain missing.

The South Korean Coast Guard sent four patrol ships and a helicopter to the scene to conduct search and rescue operations.
