New houses by renovation program save up to 40 percent of resources compared to old five-story buildings. Sergei Sobyanin announced this on his channel in MAX messenger.
"When moving in, residents receive not only new apartments and landscaped courtyards, but also modern, energy-efficient housing. These buildings consume less heat and electricity per square meter," the Moscow Mayor noted.

Energy efficiency is ensured by:
— individual heating units with automatic control and consumption metering. The equipment for these units is entirely manufactured in Russia;
— thermostats on heating appliances that allow residents to choose a comfortable temperature and pay only for actual consumption;
— automatic regulation of heating systems depending on the weather;
— modern lighting fixtures and motion sensors in entrances, vestibules and courtyards: energy-saving lamps consume significantly less energy than incandescent lamps;
— multi-layer facades and double-glazed windows that allow you to retain heat in winter and coolness in summer;
— modern thermal insulation of water supply and heating pipelines, as well as water-saving plumbing fixtures and equipment—all this minimizes resource loss.
Thanks to modern engineering systems, heat loss in buildings under the renovation program has been reduced by 30 percent, and the buildings are assigned high energy efficiency classes—A and B.
