China International Import Expo (CIIE), China's first national import-themed expo, has been successfully held for seven consecutive sessions since 2018.
The 8th CIIE is held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10.
This year, 155 countries, regions and international organizations took part in the exhibition.
A record number of 290 Fortune Global 500 and industry-leading companies are expected to participate.
The exhibition will showcase 461 new products, technologies and services, enabling the vast Chinese market to become a testing, profitable and applied field for global innovation.
The number of exhibiting companies increased by more than 600 compared to 3,496 last year.
43 trade groups and more than 700 subgroups will be formed to conduct negotiations and purchases.
The total exhibition area will exceed 430,000 square meters, which will also be a new record.
Backed by the vast Chinese market, the combined pre-sale volume for the first seven exhibitions has exceeded US$500 billion.
