BEIJING, November 4 (Xinhua) — Zhang Tianfeng, former deputy head of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration, has been charged with bribery, the Supreme People's Procuratorate said on Tuesday.

The prosecutor's indictment states that Zhang Tianfeng, while holding various positions in the tobacco sector, abused his official position to benefit third parties, in exchange for which he received large amounts of money and material assets from them.

The case against Zhang Tianfeng was filed by the People's Prosecutor's Office of Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, East China. It will be tried by the Intermediate People's Court of the same city.
