Tbilisi, November 3 (Xinhua) — Georgia harvested a record grape harvest in 2025, the largest in three decades, the National Wine Agency reported on Monday.
According to the agency, approximately 336,000 tons of grapes were processed in Georgia's wine-producing regions, exceeding the figures for previous years.
Chairman of the National Wine Agency Levan Mekhuzla noted that the main goal of his agency is to diversify the Georgian wine market and improve the international reputation of Georgian wine.
“To achieve this goal, the grapes used for wine production must be of uncompromisingly high quality,” said L. Mekhuzla, summing up the results of the agricultural season.
According to official data, approximately 22,000 winegrowers participated in the harvest campaign, with the industry's total revenue amounting to 475 million lari (approximately $176 million). More than 500 wineries were involved in processing the harvest.
