BEIJING, November 1 (Xinhua) — The 14th session of the Bureau of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) concluded on Saturday in the Chinese capital.
Wang Huning, a member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee and Chairman of the National Committee of the CPPCC, chaired the closing meeting and delivered a speech.
He called on CPPCC members to thoroughly study and fully implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee in their work.
Wang Huning stressed the need to secure public support, build consensus and pool wisdom to formulate and implement the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030) and promote Chinese-style modernization.
The meeting decided to hold commemorative events to mark the 160th anniversary of the birth of Chinese revolutionary and statesman Sun Yat-sen, who was born on November 12, 1866. –0–
