London, October 30 (Xinhua) — A 70-year-old man was killed and three others were injured in a helicopter crash in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, UK, British police confirmed on Thursday.

The helicopter took off from Retford Hamston Airport on Thursday morning and crashed shortly after.

The 41-year-old pilot and two passengers, a 58-year-old woman and a 10-year-old boy, suffered minor injuries, police said.

The UK's Air Accidents Investigation Branch announced it had launched an investigation into the incident.
