Beijing, October 30 (Xinhua) — China will streamline its duty-free shopping policies to stimulate consumption, according to a notice jointly released by the Ministry of Finance and four other government agencies on Thursday.

According to the notice, the policy is aimed at stimulating domestic purchases and will take effect on Saturday.

The main measures focus on four aspects, including optimising tax incentive and duty exemption policies, as well as further expanding the range of goods in duty-free shops.

In addition, efforts will be made to delegate authority over the approval of such stores and improve measures to facilitate procedures and strengthen supervision, the notice said. -0-
