During the bird migration season in Heilongjiang Province, volunteers from Harbin launched Operation Migration Protection. Over seven years, they traveled approximately 30,000 km and rescued over 10,000 birds, including rare and endangered species, and reported over 100 cases of poaching to authorities.
A team of 60 volunteers is dedicated to protecting the ecology of the Songhua River. Their efforts are improving the bird habitat in the region.
