BEIJING, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) — Xinhua News Agency Director-General Fu Hua met with Reuters Chief Executive Alphonse Ardel in Beijing on Tuesday.
Fu Hua stated that Reuters was one of the first Western news agencies to establish a cooperative relationship with Xinhua. He added that over the past years, the two media outlets have achieved fruitful cooperation in news and information exchange.
Fu Hua expressed hope that the two sides would continue to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation based on mutual respect and common interests, and would also increase exchanges through mechanisms such as the World Media Summit.
A. Ardel, in turn, noted that both sides share a common concern about the responsible use of artificial intelligence to more effectively expand news broadcasting capabilities. He expressed hope for a continued successful partnership with Xinhua.
