Over 13,000 Moscow schoolchildren will attend sports and patriotic camps in the summer of 2026. This is three times more than last year. The first session is scheduled to begin on June 1. Students aged 13 to 17 can apply. Due to the high interest in the project, the enrollment deadline has been extended until April 30. This was announced by the press service. This summer, camps will open in western Moscow: in the Bogorodsky, Odintsovsky, and Naro-Fominsky urban districts. The camps are named after Russian military leaders. In 2025, the camps were "Zhukov," "Rokossovsky," and "Vasilevsky." In 2026, children will be welcomed at "Konev," "Suvorov," "Kutuzov," "Bagration," "Nakhimov," as well as "Chuikov" and "Ushakov."
The camp programs were developed jointly with the Russian Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Schoolchildren will undergo tactical training, learn how to operate drones, navigate terrain, and provide first aid. Participants will also participate in volleyball, football, and basketball tournaments. Teenagers will enjoy rock climbing classes, fire and rescue games, screenings of Soviet films, and meetings with artists and historians. The camp concludes with large-scale field games where the children will put all their newly acquired knowledge to use.
The Department of Capital Repairs will create all the necessary conditions for a comfortable and safe camping experience. Students will live in tents equipped with fire alarms and air conditioners with heating to maintain the desired temperature in all weather conditions.
Participants are provided with balanced meals five times a day in specially equipped dining halls. The camps are provided with 24-hour security.
