"Restoration of the main building, covering 14,200 square meters, is ongoing at the Central Moscow Hippodrome. It will be adapted for modern use. It will house a restaurant and permanent betting halls. A promenade will be created on the lower level beneath the stands. Specialists are strengthening the structure, updating the utility systems, and restoring the historic facades, interiors, and paintings. More than 65 percent of the facade restoration is already complete. Cleaning, finishing the decor, and restoring pinnacles, planters, and the moldings of the portico and stands are ongoing. This will restore the building's visual appearance and return it to its historical appearance," said Vladimir Efimov.

During the previous stage of restoration, specialists restored the brickwork and strengthened the foundation of the main building.

Thanks to the completed work, the capacity of the main spectator stand will almost double to two thousand. The building will also retain its 150-seat restaurant. The area of the Museum of the History of the Central Museum of Art and Horse Breeding of Russia will increase sixfold, allowing for the placement of new exhibits.

"At the Central Moscow Hippodrome, comprehensive work is also underway at the horse yard, where stables are being built. At the equestrian stadium, specialists are updating the utility infrastructure: water supply and sewerage systems are being installed, and the external storm drainage system is almost complete. Work is underway to lay the foundations for the training and prize tracks," noted the head of the Moscow Department of Civil Construction.
