Residents of the capital are invited to choose the best works of participants in the international competition. "Defenders of the Fatherland. Victory in Unity" in two special nominations. The competition was organized by the Victory Museum and timed to coincide with the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. Participants were asked to create festive cards for May 9th, dedicating them to the theme of shared heroism and the continuity of generations. The creative works reflected images of the heroes of the Battle of Borodino, the victors of the Great Patriotic War, and modern soldiers. They became symbols of different pages of a single great book about the defense of the Fatherland. Young and adult artists submitted drawings in oil, watercolor, colored pencil, ink, and pastel. In total, the competition organizers received over 25,000 submissions.

Five drawings are submitted for each poll, from which the top three must be selected. The authors of the winning works will receive between one and three thousand points in the city's loyalty program. A special jury will determine the overall winners of the "Defenders of the Fatherland: Victory in Unity" competition. Participants' works will be presented at a virtual exhibition opening on the Victory Museum website on April 16, 2026, where the public will also be able to vote for their favorite drawings. The authors with the most votes will be awarded the Audience Choice Award. Furthermore, the best works will be included in a limited edition of holiday cards.

Project Active Citizen has been operating since 2014. Since then, more than seven million people have joined, and over 7,600 votes have been conducted. Every month, the city implements 30 to 40 citizen decisions.

"Active Citizen for Children" is an online platform created specifically for young Muscovites aged six to 14 who have an account on mos.ru or the Moscow Electronic School platform. Here, children can make important decisions for the city by participating in surveys. They can also enjoy engaging quizzes, games, and videos that introduce Moscow and tell about the city's history, development, and projects for children.

The project and platform are being developed by the State Public Institution “New Management Technologies” and the capital Department of Information Technology.
