A new campus for the Moscow State Technological University "STANKIN" will be built in the Novomoskovsky Administrative District. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction. Vladimir Efimov.
"The new campus of the Moscow State Technological University "STANKIN" will be built in the Kommunarka district of the Novomoskovsky Administrative Okrug under the supervision of the Department of Civil Engineering. It will house educational, laboratory, and administrative facilities, as well as dormitories. The estimated floor area of the facilities will be approximately 232,000 square meters. The result will be a multifunctional, comfortable space for student learning. Specialists have already begun designing the buildings," said Vladimir Efimov.
The facility will be built on the territory of the Kommunarka administrative and business center, where a large multifunctional cluster is being formed with educational, cultural, and public-business facilities.
"The campus will include a technical testing ground, a cultural and leisure center, and convention and exhibition spaces. The project includes research and educational laboratories, lecture and seminar rooms, computer labs, and research and educational spaces for forums and conferences. Students will have access to comfortable recreation areas and coworking spaces. Furthermore, the construction of a sports and fitness center and a central competence center is planned," noted the head of the Civil Engineering Department.
The surrounding area will undergo comprehensive landscaping. Specialists will plant trees and shrubs, lay lawns, build paths, and install hardscape elements.
