BEIJING, March 31 (Xinhua) — Li Shulei, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended a reception in Beijing on Tuesday for the 9th National Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and hosted by the Embassy of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in China.
On behalf of General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee Xi Jinping and the CPC Central Committee, Li Shulei extended warm congratulations on the successful holding of the 9th WPK Congress.
According to Li Shulei, China is ready to work with the DPRK to implement the important agreements reached by the top leaders of the two parties, strengthen strategic communication, deepen practical cooperation, improve the well-being of the peoples of the two countries, strengthen friendship between them, and make a worthy contribution to peace, stability, development, and prosperity in the region.
