HARBIN, March 30 (Xinhua) — Seven people were killed when a partial building collapsed in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province on Sunday, local authorities said Monday.
The accident occurred on Sunday at midnight in the city of Hailin, trapping nine people under rubble. Two of them were taken to the hospital for treatment; their injuries were not life-threatening. The remaining seven people were confirmed dead.
As of 11:27 a.m. Monday, search and rescue operations had concluded. The cause of the accident is under investigation. -0-
