Baghdad, March 29 (Xinhua) — At least five Iraqi security personnel were killed and nine others wounded in a series of airstrikes in northern provinces on Saturday evening, according to official statements.
The Iraqi Interior Ministry said in a statement that two police officers were killed and five others wounded in a "treacherous American-Israeli aggression" targeting a checkpoint in Mosul, the capital of Ninewa province.
Meanwhile, Iraq's paramilitary Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) said in a statement that three of its members were killed and four others wounded in three US-Israeli airstrikes on its Northern and Eastern Tigris Operational Command in Kirkuk province.
In recent days, dozens of PMF members have been killed in attacks that the group has blamed on the US and Israel. –0–
